Dear parents and friends of CCS,
I write today with great hope that you are experiencing the love and peace of God, even as we run downhill to the end of another school year!
Like you, we here at CCS have a lot going on right now! I’ll list a few of the most relevant items and ask for your prayers:
Our Accreditation Team visit begins on Palm Sunday, April 13, through Wed April 16.
Please pray we will find favor with this group, and that they will have safety as they travel to us.
2. Our Strategic vision and Master Plan process is continuing apace. There is progress on many fronts, and I will be excited to share specifics with you over the summer.
Please pray that our Board of Trustees and senior admin would continue to hear the LORD clearly as we complete our work over the next couple of months.
3. A few of our CORPs members (Faculty & Staff) are dealing with significant health and family issues.
Please pray for God’s intervention to return them to full health.
4. As I write, our Juniors are on mission to the Navajo Nation in New Mexico.
Please pray for their effective witness and a safe return later this week.
5. Please pray for all of our students, that they would know the love of God in Christ Jesus, and would sink their roots deeply into Him. Pray they would understand that they are the Imago Dei i.e. humans made in the image of God.
In closing, I want to share Psalm 16 with you. If you are in a hard place right now, you could do much worse than meditating on this glorious and comforting Psalm.
Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.”
As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones,
in whom is all my delight.
The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply;
their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out
or take their names on my lips.
The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup;
you hold my lot.
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.
I bless the Lord who gives me counsel;
in the night also my heart instructs me.
I have set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices;
my flesh also dwells secure.
For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
or let your holy one see corruption.
You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Such glorious and beautiful truth! Our part is to accept this truth in faith, that God our Abba is for us, and that nothing can separate us from His love – no matter what our individual circumstances may tell us.
May God provide you with all that you need to walk with and abide in Him.
For CCS and the Kingdom,
Tom
