Security Update:
CCS families,
My hope and prayer is for peace and grace from the Lord our God for all CCS families and for our greater community in Tallahassee and beyond.
Thank you for your continual support of the CCS security program! Since our last update, the security on campus has been enhanced on several fronts.
Completed:
1. King’s Crossing all door key locks were rekeyed for CCS personnel access only.
2. King’s Crossing glass panes were enhanced with 3M security film providing privacy and shatter resistance as with the rest of CCS campus.
3. King’s Crossing main entrance door fitted with remote controlled magnetic access.
4. Vehicle barrier at the Primary building south driveway.
5. Fifth grade building main door fitted with remote controlled magnetic access.
Upcoming:
1. Radio frequency repeater to enhance radio communications on campus.
2. Sixth grade building main door remote controlled magnetic access.
3. Open source/internet vigilance program.
I want to address the ZeroEyes video analytics system implementation separately. I invested much time in sifting through different companies and negotiating with the diverse companies upfront. The process of implementation has taken a coordinated effort between Mr. Vance Rutherford our Director of Technology, Corbin Security Systems, ZeroEyes representatives, and me. We are in the last stages of implementation for which Mr. Rutherford has spent many hours bridging the technical side of both systems, i.e. IP address identification for each camera, a separately designated VPN communication channel for the cameras, campus video camera map overlay, hardware installation, etc. Once implemented we will be top notch video security in private, and most public, schools in Tallahassee.
I want to thank Mr. Rutherford for taking on the hard part of this AI video analytics project as I only did the talking part on the front end.
Your brother in Christ,
Ray Hernandez
