A Message from the Head of School Tom Argersinger

Dear Parents and Friends of CCS,

Happy New Year!

I pray that 2024 has begun with a deeply settled joy and peace that can only come from Jesus through His word and Spirit.

I am so grateful to the Lord for His miraculous provision for CCS in 2023, amid a number of changes and challenges. As we turn our gaze to the spring, and increasingly, to the 2024-25 school year, I look forward to sharing more with you about who CCS really is and our goals for the Spring and Summer seasons.

I am also looking forward to giving you the inside track on details about the recently approved “CCS@50” vision, which will culminate, by God’s grace, in our 50th Anniversary year of 2027-28.

Toward that end I want to make you aware of some of the ways we are providing more ways to connect with us as we move into the future God has laid out for us. One of our core tools to make this connection is through increased presence on social media and digital platforms.

In specific, we are rolling out a series of new tools that are designed to answer questions and provide deeper insights into the work we do every day with your children:

  1. The Gospel Centered Education podcast launches on January 18, 2024. My co-host Kelly Allen and I will be unpacking how Christian education is unique from other types, through an inside look at the intersection of education, theology and culture. The GCE podcast will run about 30 minutes in length.

  2. The CCS On The Move video log (vlog), where we walk the campus and interview a variety of faculty and students, asking an interesting and hopefully entertaining question about life at CCS. Look for CCS On The Move to premier in February.

  3. The CCS@50 Vision vlog, a deeper dive into God’s vision for the next few years. This solo vlog will run about 10-15 minutes. CCS@50 is slated to launch in late January.

I hope you will make it a point to check out these opportunities to find out more about CCS. They also are a great way to share with friends, neighbors and colleagues at work about the great investment that is Community Christian School.

In closing, I want to share one of my favorite verses, from the book of Romans:

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13 ESV

May God inspire us to seek the peace and joy of our beautiful God of hope, and walk in the abundant grace available to us each day.

And may He richly bless us and our families with a renewed sense of our need for His grace and the courage to claim the full inheritance he offers us as our own.

For CCS and the Kingdom,

Tom
