ADMISSIONS FOR STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DIFFERENCES

We believe every child is uniquely designed and created by God and that children learn in different ways.  We also seek to provide opportunities for children to work and learn together in ways that will lead them to a greater dependence on God as they answer His call on their lives.

ELIGIBILITY

Students with various learning differences may be eligible to participate in supports, services, and programs offered by the Educational Services Department of CCS. After submitting an online application, the first step in the admissions process for students with special learning differences is the completion of the Educational Services Admissions Screening Checklist. The submission of all items listed in the checklist for review by our Educational Services Committee is required. The Educational Services Committee will assess whether or not CCS can serve the student effectively before proceeding further with the admissions process.  The Educational Services Committee will also determine any recommended or required supports necessary for enrollment at CCS.  These supports may include an accommodation plan, staff or private tutoring, resource classes, supported online classes or the Compass Program (for students with high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder).

Students with special learning differences who are admitted to CCS must be able to function within the standard academic program.  CCS enrolls a limited number of students with special learning differences. Once CCS has reached capacity, no additional spaces will be available.
