 ACADEMICS

At Community Christian School, we believe that God has decreed that the responsibility for educating children is given to parents, and that they may choose to delegate a portion of that responsibility to a school such as CCS. We believe that great schools lead students to eagerly discover the truth, joy, and beauty of understanding God, His world, and themselves as the pinnacle of His creation. We believe this is best done through a thorough and rigorous liberal arts education that shapes and trains the mind, the body, the heart, and the spirit.

VPK

Our VPK program reflects the values we hold dear at CCS. Children participate in developmentally appropriate activities that promote spiritual, intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth.

Our VPK Program is 5 days a week from 8:20 am - 11:30 am.

There is no out-of-pocket cost for Florida resident four-year-olds born on or before September 1.

KINDERGARTEN

This program offers students an opportunity to prepare for elementary school in a loving, high quality program. Taught by certified and experienced teachers, our kindergarten classes build a strong foundation in Christian education while developing the fundamentals needed to succeed in school. CCS offers full and half day programs and small class sizes. Students must be five years old by September 1st to enroll. Our Kindergarten program is fully accredited by SACS and ACSI.

During this year, you can expect your Kindergartner to: 

  • Develop a positive, realistic self-image

  • Learn to respect himself

  • Begin to understand his own uniqueness

  • Gain awareness of his feelings

  • Learn to express feelings

  • Begin to learn from his mistakes

ELEMENTARY

Our elementary program cultivates a love of education in our students that inspires a lifetime of learning. Children are taught from a Biblical worldview and learn how to defend their faith and manage their personal/professional lives in a way that brings honor to God.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Our middle school program is built upon Biblical truths that support an atmosphere of concentrated learning and deep personal growth. We believe that every child has a God-given purpose and with that comes responsibility toward others. We offer rigorous, but attainable academic challenges, and strive to develop strong character and leadership in our students.

HIGH SCHOOL

Our High School educational program is built on the framework of Spiritual Formation, rigorous academics, and a unique leadership program. Students are encouraged to move from being dependent learners to independent learners who are capable of teaching themselves, on their way to becoming interdependent learners who are capable of learning and working with others in the global community.
