On March 9, over 260 guests attended the "Light the Way" Scholarship Gala, which funded over $70,000 in scholarships to benefit 75 Community Christian School students who rely on tuition assistance to attend the school they love.
The biggest fundraising event of the school year featured the wit and wisdom of Coach Bobby Bowden, and the powerful music and moving testimony of Dove Award winning artist Nichole Nordeman. Guests dined alongside celebrity guests FSU Hall of Famer and Heisman Award Winner Charlie Ward (New York Knicks), actor Tracy Goode (Facing the Giants, Footloose), best selling authors Peter Schweizer (Secret Empires, Clinton Cash, Reagan’s War), and Don Yaeger (Teammate with David Ross, Running for My Life with Warrick Dunn, Never Die Easy with Walter Payton), Star Swain (her Star Spangled Banner rendition at the Lincoln Memorial went viral), WCTV’s Art Myers, and Scott Warmack (Trans Am Discovery Channel docuseries).
Last year, guests enjoyed inspiration from Pam Tebow and an intimate acoustic concert with Jonny Diaz. See the pictures.
